Hygiene Team Leader - Night Shift, 3's & 2's Shift pattern. (17:00-05:00).
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Hygiene Team Leader to join our Hygiene team to be responsible for leading and supporting Hygiene Operatives to complete cleaning activities safely and to standard. You will also ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, COSHH and PPE requirements.
This role is well-suited to someone with previous Hygiene experience within a manufacturing environment who is looking to build a stable, long-term career within food manufacturing.
Working on-site in our factory, you will play a key role in ensuring that we continue to meet regulatory hygiene standards.
This is a site-based role at our Bicker facility, reporting to the Site Hygiene Manager, working full-time on a 3's & 2's shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Lead and support Hygiene Operatives to complete cleaning activities safely and to standard.
- Completion of machine and area cleaning tasks as part of the Hygiene duties.
- Checking machines, equipment and areas after cleaning, escalating any gaps or issues prior to handover.
- Ensuring daily, weekly and periodic cleaning schedules are completed and recorded accurately.
- Ensuring chemicals, PPE and cleaning equipment are used, stored and labelled correctly.
- Report damaged equipment, incomplete cleans or hygiene risks to the Hygiene Supervisor or Manager.
- Maintain documentation related to hygiene activities and compliance.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in hygiene standards.
Skills & Experience :
- Proven experience in a hygiene or sanitation role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
- COSHH awareness or chemical handling training.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to train and motivate team members.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as hand tools and power tools is advantageous.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of food manufacturing, production hygiene or industrial cleaning environments.
- Knowledge of health & safety, PPE, food safety, allergen awareness and safe systems of work.
