NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC), in conjunction with the West of Scotland Regional Alliance for CAMHS have an exciting opportunity for a suitably skilled and experienced mental health clinician to join our team in delivering a specialist Regional Forensic CAMHS pathway. This service will operate on a Hub & Spoke model, extending across NHS Boards in the West of Scotland.
The post holder will co-ordinate the provision of clinical services for young people up to the age of 18 years with complex high risk mental health conditions, including those with forensic profiles and needs and/or in Youth Justice system with mental health disorders. The post holder will contribute to the effective leadership within the service. To contribute, as a senior staff member, to the development of the FCAMHS and Secure Care pathways for West of Scotland Region and to co-ordinate the direct clinical and professional supervision of staff within the service. The post holder will work within the Regional CAMHS pathways and will work in partnership with mental health teams and staff from other agencies to develop high quality, evidence-based services for young people across the West of Scotland.
The Regional FCAMHS Coordinator will support specialist mental health assessment and intervention, liaison with patient’s Board of origin, coordination of complex case reviews, supporting young people through discharge planning and relocation to home Boards. The post holder will have a regional remit with overview of patients across Scotland, and will have a role in coordinating and leading on clinical developments across region.
We are seeking a suitably qualified mental health clinician, with a high level of knowledge skill and experience in the field of forensic mental health and experience in leadership roles, teaching and training. Please refer to essential and desirable skills within the job description.
