THE ROLE

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Quarry Operatives based at our sand & gravel quarries. The successful candidates should be customer focused, reliable, well organised and be able to work well as part of a team in a busy site environment.

Our Sand & Gravel quarries supply sand and gravel internally for the production of asphalt and concrete mixes as well as externally to the construction market.

Locations:

Loanleven, Perth PH1 3NF
Longyester, Haddington EH41 4PL

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate and maintain quarry machinery and equipment.
Ensure quality control of materials and adherence to safety protocols.
Load customer and internal vehicles with product.
Maintaining a high level of housekeeping standards.
General day to day maintenance on site.
Maintaining a high standard of health and safety measures on site.

Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
Be prepared to progress and develop within our business through training and gaining qualifications.
A willingness to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Willingness to work regular overtime to meet the needs of the business, and has a flexible approach to working hours.
Be in possession of a full driving license.
