Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Tipper Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a tipper lorry to transport and deliver materials safely and efficiently across various locations. This role requires a professional attitude, excellent driving skills, and adherence to safety regulations. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting our operational needs with punctual and responsible service.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class 2 tipper lorry for the transportation of materials to designated sites.
Conduct pre-journey safety checks on the vehicle, including brakes, tyres, lights, and load security.
Load and unload materials in accordance with health and safety guidelines, ensuring proper handling at all times.
Follow planned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Comply with all road traffic regulations and company policies during transit.
Assist with loading and securing cargo using appropriate equipment such as flatbeds when necessary.
Report any vehicle issues or accidents immediately to management for prompt resolution.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed or tipper vehicles.
Strong driving skills with a clean driving licence suitable for Class 2 vehicles.
Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.
Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
Ability to operate flatbeds and other loading equipment safely and efficiently.
Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively.
Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members professionally.
Physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
