At Masonhouse Manufacturing, we’ve been crafting beautiful, design-led kitchens for over 40 years under our two brands, Callerton and Brown & Hood. As a family-run business, we take real pride in the quality of what we make - and the people who make it.
We’re growing and looking for a Joinery Specialist to join our factory team in Sunderland. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their craft, enjoys working with precision, and wants to be part of a team that creates standout, bespoke pieces.
From chimney breasts to butlers’ pantries and other specialist features, you’ll play a key part in bringing more complex, design-led elements to life.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manufacturing bespoke joinery items with a high level of care and accuracy
- Working from detailed technical drawings to produce specialist features
- Using machinery including panel saws, chop saws, routers and spindle moulders
- Working with a range of materials including MFC, MDF and specialist veneers
- Taking ownership of quality - checking your own work and supporting others to maintain high standards
- Collaborating with colleagues across the factory to ensure smooth workflow and delivery
- Supporting other departments when needed- we work as one team
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in joinery or furniture manufacturing, ideally within a high-end or bespoke environment
- Confidence using core workshop machinery (panel saw, router, spindle moulder etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
- Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset - someone who takes ownership and uses their initiative
- A reliable, flexible team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Experience in door manufacturing would be a strong advantage
Opportunity to grow:
For the right person, there is scope to take on additional responsibility over time. If you bring experience in door manufacturing or leading within a workshop environment, there is potential to grow into a more senior or department-led role.
What’s in it for you?
- A permanent, full-time role in a stable and growing family business
- A skilled, supportive team that takes pride in what they produce
- The chance to work on more detailed, design-led pieces - not just volume production
- Opportunities to develop your skills and progress within the business
- The satisfaction of seeing your craftsmanship become part of beautiful kitchens across the UK
If you’re someone who cares about doing things properly, enjoys the detail, and wants to be part of a team that values quality and craft - we’d love to hear from you.
