We are recruiting for a Learning & Development Learning Coordinator to join our Armed Forces Recruitment Service (AFRS) contract. This is a varied and purposeful role where your work supports both civilian colleagues and service personnel. By enabling access to the right learning at the right time, you’ll help improve performance, support growth, and contribute to delivering impactful solutions that make a difference.
What you’ll do as a L&D Learning Coordinator
You’ll be entrusted to:

Create, manage, and maintain learning assignments within the Defence Learning Environment (DLE)

Upload, test, and maintain online learning content in collaboration with content developers

Manage course bookings, delegate queries, and learning communications

Prepare reports and maintain the learning catalogue to support business insight

Liaise with third-party training providers to coordinate learning delivery

Provide support, troubleshooting, and guidance on DLE usage and improvements

Vetting and checks:
This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. In addition, depending on the nature of the role, you may need to obtain formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments. Please note that UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so we can identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
