Join our established search engine optimisation (SEO) team in Sheffield, taking on a new role focused on online outreach and PR-focused content creation. Working in our Sheffield office alongside existing SEO specialists in the marketing team, you will enhance the visibility of our website in Google Search and LLM responses.
In this role, you will both play a core part in implementing our existing SEO strategy and will help us adapt to changes in customer behaviour brought about by AI with a range of PR and outreach related activities. A typical day will see you find, contact, and ultimately write articles for suitable third-party publications, promoting Ossila products and discussing related topics.
Alongside this, you will create PR-style articles for our own website to highlight product benefits and promote our brand values and customer-friendly approach to doing business. You will also help manage internal link structures across our website, and as you progress in the role, will have the opportunity to learn how to optimize pages for search engines and how to analyse on-site and off-site SEO performance to become a full-spectrum SEO marketing specialist.

The Role
Your primary responsibility will be to promote the Ossila brand and range of products across third-party websites to enhance the authority of our website and promote the Ossila brand.
Day-to-day responsibilities will evolve over time, but will include:
- Identifying and reaching out to relevant websites, industry publications, and conferences to establish valuable partnerships to ensure accurate and prominent visibility on the web
- Working with the team to produce enticing content that showcases Ossila products, discusses topics relevant to our mission, or directly promotes our products or values
- Implementing our internal linking strategy to help customers and bots find our products
- Writing high-quality PR content, such as news posts, to promote our achievements
- Helping to manage and grow an expansive website, collaborating and learning with the team as we work together to help grow the business
About You
We are looking for someone who is interested in science (or has a scientific background) and is not afraid to learn and write about new topics.
- You either have relevant experience or are looking for a challenge and have a strong desire to develop existing writing skills and pursue a career in SEO and marketing
- You hold a STEM degree or a degree in an essay-based subject such as journalism or English (or any other degree paired with a demonstrable writing ability and experience)
- You are a strong communicator and would be comfortable establishing and maintaining relationships with third parties, pitching and negotiating mutually beneficial outcomes
- You approach your work in an organised and adaptable way, can keep track of multiple different projects, and can prioritise these according to the needs of the business
- You enjoy being part of a team, foster a collaborative environment, and can reliably commute to Attercliffe, Sheffield for this full-time, on-site position
