We are seeking an organised and proactive Planner/Scheduler to join our expanding team. You will be responsible for planning and scheduling engineers’ daily workloads to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and on time.
VOCON Energy Ltd works on behalf of major energy suppliers to install and upgrade electrical fuses in customers’ properties, delivering a high‑quality service from initial contact through to completion. As a newly established engineering business specialising in smart metering, industrial/commercial metering, and Gas Safe services, we are led by a management team with over 40 years of industry experience. With depots in Sheffield (J34, M1) and Derby/Nottingham (J26, M1), we offer strong opportunities for growth within a fast‑developing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule engineers for surveys and fuse upgrade works.
- Manage inbound customer queries via the CRM and arrange appointments.
- Contact customers to confirm bookings and address queries.
- Handle internal and external calls professionally.
- Oversee engineers’ diaries, ensuring efficient route planning and time management.
- Ensure all tasks meet client SLA requirements.
- Manage rotas, holiday planning, and appointment reallocations as needed.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience in a scheduling or dispatch role, ideally supporting remote field engineers.
- Strong organisational skills and confidence allocating work.
- Ability to make decisions and adapt to changing customer needs.
- Effective communicator with a customer‑focused approach.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work well within a small team.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office; Excel and PowerPoint experience is desirable.

Pay: £24,785.00-£25,500.00 per year
