Accountsability was established in 2006 and our office is based at Gleadless Townend in Sheffield.
We have an diverse portfolio of clients including Sole traders, Partnerships, Charities and Companies. These clients come from a variety of sectors and we mainly deal with clients based across the UK, but we do also have overseas clients.
We provide a variety of services to these clients including but not limited to Payroll, CIS declarations, Pensions, Bookkeeping, VAT Returns, Management Accounts, Annual Accounts, Personal and Corporate Tax Returns.
We pride ourselves on the providing a great service to our current clients and do not advertise our services as we pick up almost all our new clients via existing client referral, which has severed us well.
We also have quite a relaxed office environment and it is important to us to find someone that we feel would be a good fit in terms of personality as much as their academic capabilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The role would suit someone who is in the final year of school (GCSE's or A Level's): You will be responsible for completing the following tasks:
- Bookkeeping
- Accounts preparation
- VAT return preparation
- Interacting with clients face to face and over the phone
- General administration duties
Please note this is not a comprehensive list but gives you an idea of the day to day tasks.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Use of Microsoft Office, primarily Excel
- Good communication skills
- Ability to manage time and workload
- Ability to use own initiative
- Able to work independently
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Grades C or above in Maths and English
FUTURE PROSPECTS
- Full time position available upon completion of apprenticeship
- Able to study further qualifications upon completion of apprenticeship
WORK DETAILS
- Hours - Monday to Friday, 9.15 to 5.15
- Pay - £8.00 per hour, in line with minimum apprentice wage as of 1 April 2026
- 1 day per week studying AAT
