The role:
The Immigration Consultant will assist in the day-to-day functions of the UK Inbound Sheffield team including all aspects of casework and assisting in the preparation of applications. They will benefit from direct supervision and assist in the preparation for and attendance of external meetings, marketing events and project work. There is opportunity to work on varied application types, albeit principally sponsored worker applications.
What your day will look like:
- Assisting in preparing and delivering client presentations, best practice sessions and training
- Under direct supervision, acting as a caseworker on straightforward cases
- Supporting Senior Consultants and Associates with the progression of more complicated cases
- Reviewing client queries and drafting responses for review by Senior Consultants and Associates
- Preparing documentation for applications under visa routes that include Skilled Worker, Global Business Mobility, Settlement, Appendix FM and others as directed
- Reviewing applicant and approval documentation
- Updating the case management system and general administrative support as required

Essential criteria:
- Experience within immigration or a client-facing professional role
- Experience and knowledge of following procedural and processing requirements for various visa types
- A desire to develop your career within a corporate environment
- Displays professionalism, quality service and a “can do” attitude to internal members/departments of the Firm as well as external clients and vendors
- Excellent attention to detail and achieves high level of productivity
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with competing demands and experience of meeting assigned deadlines and communicating case progress/status/issues to supervisors
- Demonstrates flexibility and initiative regarding assignments for self and team
- Contributes to positive work environment, developing strong working relationships with team members
- Demonstrates confidence in all communications with their team as well as accuracy and proficiency in written communications
- Learns from both positive and negative experiences and adapts accordingly
Preferred skills:
- Willing to volunteer for project work, such as preparing presentations, drafting articles, involvement with a pillar and/or sector group.

What to expect:

- If shortlisted, you will be invited to participate in our interview process, which will consist of at least two stages, one of which will be conducted in-person. Depending on the role, you may also be required to complete a written assessment.
