Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Chef to join our culinary team to cover holiday for 1 month. monday 13th July-Thursday 13th August. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with experience working in a busy kitchen environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills while contributing to a welcoming dining experience. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing meals, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and assisting in the smooth operation of the kitchen during service hours.

Working hours will be Wednesday- Friday 6:30-15:30 and Saturday and Sundays 8:00-15:30.

Duties

Prepare a variety of dishes according to specified recipes and standards
Assist in meal preparation for daily service, special events, and catering orders
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in line with food safety regulations
Ensure all ingredients are stored correctly and stock levels are monitored
Support the team during busy periods by serving food and attending to customer needs
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold hygiene standards
Assist with inventory checks and assist in ordering supplies as needed

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Flexibility to work part-time hours, Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays. Overtime if needed
A genuine passion for culinary arts and customer service skills
Basic understanding of meal preparation techniques and serving procedures
