Summary
Henshaw Inflatables is looking for a practical, organised and detail-focused Operations & Payroll Assistant to support payroll, Paycom time tracking, employee administration and general site operations.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys accuracy, structure and helping people. You will support daily clocking checks, payroll records, statutory paperwork, Paycom queries, office administration and cross-functional support across HR, Finance, Sales and Operations.
The role will also act as an on-site Paycom super-user, helping employees and managers use the system confidently and ensuring payroll information is accurate, complete and submitted on time.
The role reports through the Senior HR Advisor and Finance & Payroll Lead, working cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, HR and line managers. The role does not carry direct line management responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate payroll, time tracking and employee data in Paycom, ensuring records are complete, up to date and ready for payroll submission.
- Review daily clocking records, timecards, overtime, shift premiums and missing punches, resolving issues promptly and escalating concerns where required.
- Prepare payroll spreadsheets, monthly payroll packs, change logs and supporting evidence for review by HR, Finance and the external accountant.
- Act as the on-site Paycom super-user, supporting employees and managers with training, system queries, access issues and basic troubleshooting.
- Support new starter, leaver, onboarding and offboarding administration, ensuring payroll-related information is accurate and processed on time.
- Maintain sickness, SSP, statutory leave, holiday, pension, tax code and NI records in line with company process and UK requirements.
- Provide flexible administration support across HR, Finance, Sales and Operations, including NetSuite support, note taking, phone cover and general office duties.
- Work confidentially and collaboratively with HR, Finance, Operations, SLT and line managers to meet deadlines, protect employee data and support smooth site operations.
