Full job description

We have an opportunity to join our Head Office CRM Team at Northminster Business Park, York as a CRM Assistant.
This is a full-time, permanent role for 39.5 hours over 5 days per week.

As a CRM Assistant, you will support the execution and optimisation of customer marketing activity across email and catalogue channels. You will assist in campaign delivery, segmentation, and performance analysis, helping ensure communications are relevant, timely, and aligned to customer lifecycle activity.

You will work closely with CRM Executives and the wider Ecommerce and Marketing teams to support a consistent and effective customer experience.

We are open to considering applications from recent/new graduates in a marketing led discipline for this role, ideally with some hands-on experience.

Want to see a snapshot of your duties?

Support the build, QA, and deployment of email campaigns using CRM platforms (e.g. Dotdigital, Fresh Relevance)
Assist with customer segmentation and catalogue selections
Support delivery of lifecycle campaigns (e.g. promotional, onboarding, reactivation)
Help execute A/B testing plans to improve engagement and conversion
Monitor campaign performance and report on key metrics
Assist in maintaining customer data quality and GDPR compliance
Work with Creative, Trading, and Marketing teams to ensure campaigns are aligned
Support use of dynamic product recommendations within campaigns
Assist in testing new tools and AI-driven campaign approaches
Develop understanding of customer lifecycle marketing and segmentation

Here’s what we’re looking for in a CRM Assistant:

Interest in CRM, email marketing, or data-led marketing
Strong attention to detail and organisation
Analytical mindset and willingness to learn
Good communication skills
Basic Excel skills
Experience with CRM/email platforms is a bonus

The Pavers story began in York in 1971 when Catherine Paver took out a £200 bank loan (for a sofa she told them) to fund her new business. She had big dreams of changing the world of footwear and a passion to provide comfortable and stylish shoes for all.

Starting small, she sold shoes at village halls and homeware parties before opening the first Pavers shop in Scarborough in 1981, when Catherine’s three sons joined the business. One of her sons, Stuart, ran the business as Managing Director for over 40 years, joined by his son Jason in 2016. As of September 2023, Jason Paver is now the Managing Director of Pavers Ltd, with Stuart Paver moving to Chairman, taking the company into the 3rd generation of family run leadership.

From these modest beginnings, Pavers Shoes has grown to be a UK leader in today’s footwear industry, with over 180 stores nationwide encompassing our more recently acquired brands including Jones Bootmaker, Herring Shoes, Padders & Van Dal.
