Housekeeper – New Cinema Opening (Bishop Auckland)

REEL Cinemas | Opening March 2026

Hours: Worked as per staff rota

Shifts: Early mornings (starts from 5:30-60:30am)

We’re passionate about creating welcoming, high-quality cinema experiences — and that starts with a clean, fresh, guest-ready environment every single day.

About the Role

We’re opening a brand-new flagship cinema in Bishop Auckland in March 2026 and we’re looking for reliable, hardworking Housekeepers to join the team from day one.

This role is all about pride in standards. You’ll help keep the cinema spotless — foyers shining, auditoriums guest-ready, toilets clean, and everything looking exactly as a brand-new flagship site should.

If you like working independently, enjoy being active, and get real satisfaction from a job done properly, you’ll love this role.

What You’ll Be Doing

Cleaning all public areas of the cinema, including toilets, foyer, auditoriums and guest areas
Hoovering, sweeping and mopping floors
Dusting and wiping down surfaces
Emptying bins and disposing of waste correctly
Replenishing supplies as needed
Spot-checking standards and taking pride in the details that guests notice

What We’re Looking For

Reliable, organised and able to work at pace
Great attention to detail — you don’t miss the corners
Comfortable working independently and using your initiative
Positive, can-do attitude
Cleaning experience is needed

This is a rota-based role and early starts are essential

Shifts may start from 5:30am

We operate 7 days per week, so flexibility to work a mix of days (including weekends/school holidays) is important

Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
