Overview
We are seeking a motivated Business Development Representative (or Sales Apprentice Level 4) to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to take their first step or develop their skills in B2B sales, telemarketing, and customer relationship management. The successful candidate will play a vital part in expanding our client base and strengthening our market presence through proactive outreach and relationship building. The role involves identifying and qualifying potential customers, managing sales activities through CRM systems, conducting discovery calls, presenting tailored solutions, negotiating agreements, and maintaining strong customer relationships to drive both new business and account expansion.
Training will be provided.
Responsibilities
Sales Planning and Preparation
- Plan sales activities and customer meetings for Business Dev Director and MD
Prospecting and Business Development
- Use sales intelligence software (EG: Apollo or Cognism) to find and identify potential customers and build targeted lists
- Use LinkedIn and other tools to find leads and identify potential customers
- Adding contacts and leads to CRM system for inclusion in marketing campaigns.
- Identify and qualify potential business opportunities through targeted outreach
- Generate leads through telephone calls, emails, networking, and referrals
- Qualify opportunities and assess customer suitability
- Build a pipeline of new business opportunities
CRM and Digital Sales Tools
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and sales activities within Hubspot.
- Update CRM systems
- Track opportunities and forecasts
- Use digital tools to manage the sales cycle and customer experience
Customer Engagement and meeting setting.
- Contact prospective (and some existing or lapsed) customers by phone
- Build rapport and trust
- Build and nurture relationships with clients via phone, email, and virtual meetings
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand needs
- Maintain ongoing customer relationships
Conducting customer new business calls
- Questioning techniques
- Investigate customer challenges and objectives
- Gather information about customer requirements
- Analyse how products or services can solve customer problems
- Develop value propositions
- Explain features, benefits, and return on investment
- Handle objections
- Gain customer commitment
Account Management
- Grow customer accounts through upselling and cross-selling
- Identify renewal and expansion opportunities
- Forecast sales opportunities and pipeline activity
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for market expansion
- Assist in preparing sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs
