Summary
We are seeking a full time Despatch Quality Champion to be based at our Cinderford site in the Forest of Dean. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest Red Meat processing Companies in the UK and Ireland. The successful applicant will receive full training for this role.
The successful candidate will be reporting to both the Technical Manager and Despatch Manager, with responsibility for the day-to-day inspection and quality control of all products for dispatch to customers or sister sites. Full training will be given to the successful candidate.
Duties to include (but not limited to):
- Ensuring that all orders being despatched are checked and adhere to specifications
- Working to deadlines to ensure orders are despatched in a timely manner
- Carry out I-Leader checks
Essential Criteria:
- Ability to follow written instruction on primal specification templates
- Ability to meet strict deadlines whilst complying with customer templates
- Working knowledge of hygiene standards and health and safety requirements
- Computer Literate
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to use own initiative
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Driving licence as may need to travel to cold store and sister sites
Desirable Criteria:
- Food Hygiene qualification
- Previous experience of working in the red meat industry
