Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Bathroom Fitter / Wall & Floor Tiler to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and finishing bathroom suites, wall and floor tiling, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced tradespeople to contribute to quality residential and commercial projects. The position involves working with various tools and materials, requiring a strong understanding of construction processes and safety protocols.
Duties
- Installing bathroom fixtures, including baths, sinks, toilets, and cabinets with precision and care
- Laying wall and floor tiles using appropriate techniques to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal
- Reading and interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and specifications for each project
- Preparing surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and applying suitable primers or adhesives
- Cutting tiles accurately using hand tools or power tools to fit designated spaces
- Applying construction painting where necessary to complete the finishing touches
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations at all times
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment throughout each project
- Collaborating with other tradespeople such as carpenters and electricians to coordinate tasks effectively
Requirements
- Proven experience in bathroom fitting, tiling, or related construction roles
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as trowels, chisels, cutters, and levels
- Knowledge of power tools including drills, saws, and tile cutters
- Strong understanding of carpentry principles relevant to bathroom installations
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately
- Experience with construction painting is desirable but not essential
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently on-site
- Valid health & safety awareness with a focus on safe working practices
- Prior experience working with construction site protocols is advantageous
Candidates should be physically fit, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team. A recognised qualification in tiling or carpentry is preferred but not mandatory for highly experienced applicants.
Pay: £170.00-£190.00 per day
