Warehouse Assistant / Driver Job Description
Based in Gravesend in Kent, Sprint Engineering & Lubricants Ltd have over 37 successful years of servicing industry with the supply of industrial maintenance products. Principally, we are looking for someone who is physically fit, an experienced warehouse operative/delivery driver who can be flexible to adapt to the daily needs of the business. Someone who is customer focused, can use their own initiative, competently complete all vehicle checks, safely load a vehicle, and maintain accurate completed paperwork for the day whilst updating our in-house warehouse management system. This role will suit someone who has the keenest eye for detail. Working within an extremely fast paced warehouse where accuracy in receiving/picking is priority. This candidate will be methodical, a great timekeeper with an eagerness to learn and grow their knowledge within the warehouse and delivering to customers.
The driving part of the role is to assist when the current fleet is at capacity, urgent customer deliveries are needed and to cover the full-time drivers’ annual leave.
Hours of work – Monday to Friday shifts between 7.30am to 5.30pm
Responsibilities
- Attention to detail to the highest standard
- Update warehouse software system/Perpetual stock taking.
- Complete all vehicle checks complying to company policy, documenting/reporting any defects to your Line Manager.
- Adhere to FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) and all company accreditations.
- Accountable for ensuring you have checked the safe loading of your vehicle and the goods to be delivered reconcile with your daily paperwork.
- Goods in/out.
- Excellent housekeeping skills.
Role Requirements
- Must hold full clean driving licence
- Willing to be trained for a FLT licence if not already held
- Experienced in I.T and Microsoft office.
