Roger Parry & Partners are trusted and experienced Chartered Surveyors and Property specialists since 1981. We have a strong presence in the Residential, Agricultural, and commercial Sectors. We have a highly successful planning and development team offering a complete service backed by wide experience.

An exciting opportunity for an experienced accounts assistant to join our busy team, assisting and reporting to the Practice Manager. You will be required to carry out a variety of financial activities along with providing business support to the Practice Manager with personnel and company procedures.

You will be required to maintain a high standard of professional integrity and discretion. Above all you will be completely trustworthy, and you will ensure the firm’s business remains confidential at all times.

Title: Accounts and Business Support Assistant

Position: You will be expected to have experience in a similar role. You should possess the ability to execute your duties without supervision and be able to work using your own initiative to effectively deliver your duties. You will possess business acumen and business skills.

Location: You will be based at the firm’s Head Office, Mercian House, 9 & 10 Darwin Court, Shrewsbury, SY3 5AL but you may be required to undertake work at the firm’s other offices.

Hours: Monday – Friday - 8.30-5.30 - Flexi Time (core hours) 40 hours per week

Duties:

Accounts

Inputting purchase invoices
Reconciliation of Office accounts
Supplier Payments
Vat Returns
Staff Expenses
Approving internal invoices
Debt chasing
Raising Purchase Orders
Credit Card Payments
Journal Entries
Energy contracts
Everyday account queries from staff and Clients

Personnel

Preparing new starter paperwork
Recording holidays and sickness
Staff training analysis

Company

Assisting with company policies and procedure, ensuring policy and procedure compliance.
H & S
Support with year end audits

Skills required:

Office experience (2+ years)
Experience of Sage 50 (2+ years)
Experience of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
