Experienced Mechanic
The Lister Motor Company Ltd is a world-renowned British sports car manufacturer founded in 1954, with a rich heritage in performance engineering and luxury automotive excellence. Based at our state-of-the-art Rocket Centre showroom in Blackburn, we specialise not only in producing our prestigious Lister LFT-666 and Lister Stealth models, but also in supplying and maintaining an exceptional range of high-end performance and luxury vehicles.
Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Vehicle Technician join our professional workshop team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the most prestigious automotive marques in the world including McLaren, Ferrari, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Porsche and Range Rover.
No two days are the same in this role. The ideal candidate will be confident working on a variety of high-performance and luxury vehicles, capable of thinking on their feet, and committed to delivering exceptional workmanship and customer satisfaction.
What does the role involve?
As an experienced technician, you will be responsible for carrying out diagnostics, servicing, repairs and maintenance on a wide range of premium and performance vehicles. You will work both independently and as part of a skilled team, maintaining the highest technical standards and ensuring all work is completed accurately and efficiently.
You will also be expected to maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, and uphold the reputation of Lister Motor Company through expert knowledge, attention to detail and pride in your work.
- Diagnosing and resolving both routine and non-routine mechanical and electrical faults
- Carrying out scheduled servicing, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles
- Performing advanced diagnostics and electronic fault finding
- Road testing vehicles to ensure issues are resolved and performance standards are met
- Completing all work effectively within advised repair times
- Accurately recording details on state of the art workshop management systems
- Maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Supporting the workshop team with general maintenance tasks
- Picking up and delivering customer vehicles when required
- Ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction at all times
Requirements
- Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent) – Essential
- Minimum 3 years mechanical experience in a professional workshop environment
- Experience working with prestige, performance and multi-brand vehicles
- Full clean UK driving licence – Essential
- Vehicle tuning experience – Desirable

- Experience within a main dealer or multi-brand specialist environment desirable
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability
- High standards of work quality and attention to detail
- Confident using the latest diagnostic and workshop technologies
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and varied environment
- Excellent time management and organisational skills

This role is Monday to Friday between 08.30am and 17.00pm and Saturdays as and when needed.
