Afterschool Club Practitioner
Contract Dates: 01/06/2026 – 17/06/2026
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 15:15 – 17:00
Location: Bedford
Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and caring individual to join our Afterschool Club team on a temporary basis from 1st June 2026 to 17th June 2026. The successful candidate will help provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children attending the afterschool provision.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support children during afterschool club sessions.
Plan and deliver fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate activities.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times.
Encourage positive behaviour and inclusion.
Prepare and tidy activity areas and resources.
Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and carers where required.
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies and procedures.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must hold one of the following qualifications:

Level 3 Playworker qualification
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Level 3 Childcare Practitioner qualification

Skills and Experience

Experience working with primary-aged children.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
A positive, energetic, and professional attitude.
Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
Ability to create a fun and supportive environment for children.
