About The Company
We are a successful company that specialises in the installation of cabling, mostly internal works, who supply CCTV, data cabling services to a variety of different customers in hospitality, schools, small/medium enterprise offices, warehouses, retail.
Due to organic growth, we are now looking for a Data Cabling Engineer as a permanent role in various locations around the UK, the ideal candidate will need to be based in and around the Bedfordshire area.

Job Title: Data Cabling Engineer
Location: Bedford (Travel around)

Duration: Full Time, Permanent
Rate: £32,000 - £38,000 Per Annum + Company Benefits + OT
Description of Contract / Programme of Works:
- Work from construction drawings, interpreting diagrams, scopes of works and specifications
- Installations of network and structured cabling (Cat5/5e/6/6A), Fibre Optics , alarm cabling, coax, telephony.
- Terminations of all cabling (Patch Panels, Various Modular connections, RJ45)
- Fusion Splicing
- Testing with Fluke testing equipment
- Maintaining Quality standards whilst meeting agreed timescales
- Reporting on progress and issues affecting the work to line managers and client contacts
- Always working safely in accordance with Health & Safety policies
- Diagnose and rectify faults successfully
- Interacting with clients, ensuring the installation is done smoothly and with as little disruption as possible
Experience Required:
- 3+ Years’ experience within telecommunications sector
- Installation of structured cabling systems
- Working knowledge of CCTV and door access (not essential but desirable)
- Basic testing knowledge and experience with Fluke testing devices (desirable)
- Have flexibility around working hours, including nights and overtime
- Willing and able to work within different locations over the UK staying away when needed and weekends when required
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure, paying good attention to detail
- Self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and self-manage workload without supervision
- CSCS/ECS card (desirable)
- IPAF/PASMA (desirable)
- Full UK Driving license

Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year (depending on experience)
