Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Leader to join our early education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare and nursery experience, with the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of preschool children
- Supervise and support children during playtime, learning sessions, and meal times
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised classroom environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans that promote holistic development
- Manage behavioural issues with patience and professionalism, applying positive reinforcement strategies
- Assist in organising special events, outings, and activities that enhance children's social skills and learning experiences
- Uphold all policies related to childcare standards and early childhood education best practices
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding junior staff when necessary
- Be a responsible key holder and open and close the nursery
Experience
- Proven nursery experience or prior work within early childhood education settings
- Strong management skills with the ability to organise activities effectively
- Demonstrated leadership qualities in managing groups of young children or supervising staff
- Working knowledge of childcare regulations and health & safety standards
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds is desirable
