WHM Pet Group (Marriages) are looking for a new team member to join their Quality team at Driby to cover maternity leave:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assistant to join our team.
The Quality Assurance (QA) Operative is responsible for ensuring that the company comply with food safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies. This role involves, but is not limited to, monitoring and validating production processes, conducting routine inspections, maintaining quality records, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safe and high quality products leave the production site.
Main Duties:
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Conduct routine inspections from intake to finished products, including raw materials, in-process products, and finished feeds.
- Using procedures, perform quality checks. This could include sampling, and testing.
- Carry out Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) audits to drive continuous improvement.
- Assist in the completion of quality documentation, for example internal packing specifications.
- Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances, and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and warehouse teams to improve product quality.
- Any other tasks the QA Manager or Head of Technical and Nutrition requires you to do that could include tasked outside your job description.
Qualifications
- Experience in quality assurance (QA) or quality control (QC) within food manufacturing factory desirable.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food safety systems, and relevant food regulations desirable.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office.
