Full job description

We are seeking a warm, friendly, and organised Spa Assistant / Receptionist to join our team at Old Rectory Spa. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a crucial role in ensuring their experience is exceptional from the moment they walk through the door. You will handle various administrative tasks, manage phone calls, and assist with customer service duties to support the efficient functioning of the spa.

Duties:

Client Interaction: Greet clients with a welcoming attitude, check them in for appointments, and assist with any questions or issues they may have.
Spa Hosting: Moving guests through the spa, maintaining a high level of customer service.
Back & Front of House: Food and drink preparation and service.
Appointment Management: Schedule and confirm appointments, manage the booking system, and handle any changes or cancellations.
Administrative Support: Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and assist with day-to-day administrative tasks.
Payment Processing: Handle client transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate records.
Product Knowledge: Provide information about our treatments, services, and products, and assist with retail sales.
Maintain a Relaxed Environment: Ensure the spa areas are clean, organised, and a calm space for clients.

Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience in a receptionist, customer service, or administrative role.
Skills: Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Personal Traits: A positive, professional, and approachable demeanour with a genuine passion for customer care and wellness.
Technical Skills: Proficient in using booking software and basic computer applications.

Proposed Hours:

Thursday - 12noon - 8pm

Sunday - 10am - 5pm

Additional hours are available on an ad hoc basis or every other Saturday 10am - 5pm can also be available if additional contracted hours are preferred.
