Footlights Worcester is an award-winning stage school providing high-quality training for young performers aged 7–18. We believe in creating an environment where students feel challenged, supported and inspired to become confident performers and confident people.
We're looking for an enthusiastic Musical Theatre Tutor with a strong background in singing who is also confident teaching musical theatre dance and movement.
The Role
You'll lead our Thursday evening Musical Theatre classes, combining singing, acting and dance to create exciting, engaging sessions that inspire young performers.
You'll be responsible for:
- Teaching vocal technique, harmonies and performance through song.
- Teaching and choreographing musical theatre dance.
- Developing students' confidence, creativity and stage presence.
- Preparing students for performances and showcases.
- Creating a positive, inclusive and energetic learning environment.
- Working alongside our friendly teaching team to deliver exceptional training.
There are also opportunities for additional teaching throughout the week and during our holiday programmes.
We're Looking For Someone Who...
- Has professional or vocational training in Musical Theatre, Singing, Dance or Performing Arts.
- Has a strong singing background and is confident teaching musical theatre choreography.
- Enjoys working with children and young people.
- Is energetic, creative and enthusiastic.
- Has excellent communication skills and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS certificate (or is willing to obtain one).
