Manage and quality-assure a portfolio of fire risk assessment projects across a range of sectors
Line-manage and mentor Fire Risk Assessors, providing technical support, coaching, and workload oversight
Deliver complex fire risk assessments yourself, including higher-risk and technical premises
Review and sign off FRA reports and action plans, ensuring they are clear, prioritised, and commercially sensible
Contribute to fire engineering work (fire strategies, technical reports, design input) with support from senior engineers
Proven experience as a Fire Risk Assessor at senior or principal level, with team leadership or mentoring experience
Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, guidance, and standards across a range of occupancies
Level 4 fire risk assessment qualification, IFSM or IFE membership, and Tier 2 register entry (minimum)
Excellent communication skills; confident engaging with clients, contractors, and senior stakeholders
Willingness to travel regularly to client sites
Work alongside fire engineers on selected projects
Fully funded progression towards a Level 5 Diploma and/or Fire Engineering degree
Gradually take on greater involvement in fire engineering design and strategy as your competence grows
