Chocoberry is looking for a focused and detail-oriented Dessert Maker to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will be the creative hands behind our signature menu items. You will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, and plating of our handcrafted treats, ensuring every waffle, crêpe, and choco puff is perfectly made and beautifully presented before it reaches our guests.

Key ResponsibilitiesDessert Production
- Prepare and cook Chocoberry’s signature desserts, including:
- Freshly made waffles
- Delicate crêpes
- Golden choco puffs
- Follow recipe specifications and presentation standards consistently.
Artistic Plating & Presentation
- Assemble and decorate desserts using toppings, fruits, sauces, and garnishes.
- Ensure all desserts meet Chocoberry’s high-standard, social-media-ready presentation guidelines.
Kitchen Preparation
- Prepare ingredients ahead of service, including:
- Slicing fruits
- Whipping cream
- Mixing batters
- Restocking toppings and sauces
- Maintain efficient workflow during busy service periods.
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Keep the dessert station clean, organised, and hygienic at all times.
- Follow all UK food safety regulations, temperature controls, and allergen management procedures.
- Ensure safe food handling and storage practices are always maintained.
Station Management
- Monitor ingredient levels throughout shifts.
- Rotate stock using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
- Help minimise food waste and maintain stock quality.
Requirements & ExperienceExperience
- Previous experience as a dessert maker, pastry commis, baker, or line cook is highly desirable.
- A strong passion for food preparation and willingness to learn is essential.
Kitchen Skills
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to plate desserts neatly and consistently under pressure.
Pace & Stamina
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Able to maintain speed, accuracy, and presentation quality during busy evening and weekend rushes.
Food Hygiene
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.
- A Level 2 Food Safety Certificate is highly advantageous.
Flexibility
- Available to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and peak trading periods.
