Overview
We are seeking a self-employed Taxi Driver to provide reliable and professional transportation services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently, maintaining their vehicle, and delivering excellent customer service. This role offers flexibility and independence, suitable for individuals with a passion for driving and excellent communication skills. Applicants must hold a valid driver’s licence and have experience in commercial driving or delivery roles. We can also help acquire a taxi licence if needed.

Duties

Safely operate your own vehicle to transport passengers to various destinations within the local area.
Ensure punctuality and adherence to scheduled pick-up times.
Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of your vehicle to ensure safety and comfort for passengers.
Communicate effectively with passengers, providing friendly and professional service throughout each journey.
Handle cash or electronic payments accurately, issuing receipts as required.
Assist with loading or unloading luggage or heavy items when necessary, demonstrating physical capability for heavy lifting tasks.
Keep records of trips, mileage, and fuel consumption for tax purposes.
Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times.

Experience

Proven experience as a driver, preferably in commercial driving or delivery roles.
Valid driver’s licence suitable for passenger transport (e.g., private hire or taxi licence).
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with passengers from diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify potential issues early and ensure vehicle safety.
Prior experience in customer service roles is beneficial but not essential. This position offers an excellent opportunity for independent drivers seeking flexible working hours while delivering quality transportation services within the community.
