Overview

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing a career in dental healthcare, providing support to dental professionals and ensuring patient comfort. The role offers valuable hands-on experience in a professional environment, with paid training included to help you gain essential skills and qualifications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for patient care, strong organisational abilities, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assisting dentists during various dental procedures and treatments
Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring all instruments and materials are sterilised and ready for use
Supporting patients by providing reassurance and explaining procedures in a clear manner
Maintaining accurate patient records and updating files as required
Adhering to infection control protocols and health & safety regulations
Managing appointment scheduling and patient correspondence using IT systems
Ensuring the clinical environment remains clean, organised, and welcoming at all times
Learning about dental procedures, instruments, and best practices through on-the-job training

Qualifications

Basic understanding of patient care principles and a genuine interest in healthcare
Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
Previous experience or background in nursing or healthcare is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
Good IT skills for managing digital records and appointment systems
Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating professionalism and a caring attitude
Willingness to learn, develop new skills, and undertake further training as part of your career progression
