Full job description

Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG). That’s the world this role lives in.

My Client are a lean, international supply operation moving high-volume branded consumer goods - toiletries, household, food & grocery, health & beauty - across the UK, Europe, and select global markets. They sit between supplier and distribution channel, and move quickly. Small team. Full oversight. No unnecessary noise.

No more splitting your time between sourcing and selling. This role is pure growth.

Their sourcing team handles all supplier relationships, pricing, and negotiation. Your job is to sell the deals they bring in, grow the account base, and represent the business face-to-face with some of the biggest names in UK and European retail and wholesale. The role has a global remit, primarily UK and EU, with accounts and travel extending internationally where the business demands it.

Who we are

They are a lean team by design. They believe in hiring exceptional people, giving them responsibility early, and removing unnecessary bureaucracy. You will work closely with the leadership team and have genuine influence over the direction of the business.

What you’ll be doing

→ Managing and growing a portfolio of wholesale and retail accounts across UK and European markets, strong focus on building new business.

→ Developing inactive accounts into consistent buyers

→ Visiting accounts face-to-face, representing the business at national discount chains on behalf of the leadership team

→ Selling within set pricing frameworks; escalating negotiation opportunities to the sourcing team

→ Logging all activity in CRM for clear pipeline tracking and performance reporting

→ International travel; client visits, trade shows, and market trips are part of the role

→ Working closely with the sourcing team to provide customer feedback that shapes future buying decisions

What we’re looking for

→ 3–5 years in fast-moving wholesale, distribution, or FMCG sales

→ Background in a distributor or wholesale business, not purely brand rep

→ Proactive and entrepreneurial, you take ownership and don’t need hand-holding

→ Strong relationship-builder with the confidence to visit clients and open conversations at a senior level

→ Comfortable using AI tools and genuinely embraces them as part of how you work

→ Entrepreneurial mindset; you spot opportunities and act on them

→ A trader mentality: quick to respond, persistent, and commercially minded

The package

→ Circa £40,000 base salary

→ Uncapped commission on your sales

→ International travel included and expensed

→ Clear progression: Global Growth Manager → Senior Global Growth Manager → Head of Growth

→ 4 days Winchester office / 1 day remote (ideally)

Pay: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
