We are excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate and skilled Breakfast Chef to join our established kitchen team at The Ship Hotel, Leigh-On-Sea. As a dedicated chef you'll play a crucial role in continuing our tradition of exceptional morning dining experiences.

In this rewarding position, you will be responsible for crafting outstanding breakfast dishes whilst working alongside our experienced kitchen team. You'll transform fresh, quality ingredients into memorable morning meals that set the perfect tone for our guests' day.

Your Day-to-Day as a Breakfast Chef:

Prepare and cook fresh breakfast dishes to order with precision and care
Execute breakfast recipes and cooking techniques with consistent excellence
Support breakfast service with ingredient preparation and mise en place
Plate dishes to our high presentation standards
Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and kitchen team
Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards throughout service
Ensure kitchen areas remain clean and organised during busy morning periods
Monitor and control portion sizes and ingredient usage
Promptly report any equipment issues or supply shortages
Contribute to a positive, energetic morning kitchen environment

What We're Looking for:

Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Chef de Partie essential
Strong knowledge of breakfast cookery and fresh food preparation
Experience in high-volume catering environments preferred
Level 2 Food Safety Certificate advantageous
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy breakfast service
Early morning availability essential
Passion for creating exceptional breakfast experiences
Reliability and commitment to kitchen excellence
Must be aged 18 or over due to kitchen health and safety requirements
