Job Title: Used Vehicle Prep Technician
Full time: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm Saturday morning on a rota basis
Position pays: £30,000 basic £41,500,000 OTE (dependant on experience)
Location: Volkswagen Bridgend
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing new and used vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring they are safe, roadworthy and presentation ready for customer handover and sale. Working within a busy and professional workshop environment, the role will also involve supporting day to day workshop operations through tyre-fitting, wheel balancing, wheel alignment checks.
Day to day duties
- Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections on new and used vehicles.

Prepare used vehicles to approved Sinclair and manufacturers standards

Fit, remove, repair and balance tyres safely and efficiently

Carry out wheel alignment checks and report defects or wear issues

Complete basic servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs as required

Identify and report additional vehicle work to the Workshop Controller

Maintain workshop equipment and tyre fitting machinery to the highest standards

Support the workshop team in maintaining a clean organised and safe working environment

Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations

Carrying out any other reasonable duties required within the workshop
More about you
- A good level of technical knowledge, ability and experience in the mechanical and technical repair

Ability to organise own workload, work on own initiative and to strict deadlines.

Flexible approach to working hours.

Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.

A current full driving Licence.
