Stoke by Nayland Resort is looking for a professional, friendly and reliable Night Receptionist/Night Porter to join our team on a full-time basis.
This hands-on role is ideal for a motivated individual with a positive attitude, excellent organisational skills and a genuine passion for hospitality. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running, safety and security of the resort throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Welcoming guests and processing check-ins and check-outs
- Providing information about hotel facilities, services and the local area
- Processing guest payments, invoices, departure bills and room charges
- Taking, modifying and managing hotel and restaurant reservations
- Running the Night Audit procedure
- Providing First Aid response where required
- Ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff and the building
- Monitoring CCTV systems
- Carrying out on-site checks and patrols
- Completing evening and morning handovers, tasks and checklists
- Assisting with night cleaning duties and supporting housekeeping when needed
- Maintaining high operational and guest service standards
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent IT and administrative skills
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
- A proactive and positive approach to work
- A keen eye for detail
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience using POS and PMS systems
- Previous hotel reception experience (preferred)
- A valid 3-Day First Aid qualification or equivalent
- A full UK driving licence

Additional Information
This role operates on a rota basis and includes weekends and bank holidays. Due to our rural location, applicants must have their own transport.
