Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swimming Instructor to join our aquatic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in sports coaching and teaching, with the ability to inspire confidence and enthusiasm among learners. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive environment, helping individuals achieve their swimming goals while promoting safety and enjoyment in the water.

Duties

Deliver engaging and safe swimming lessons tailored to the needs of the age groups and skill levels
Plan and organise lesson programmes that promote skill development, water safety, and confidence
Monitor and evaluate students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement
Enforce safety rules and ensure all participants adhere to pool regulations at all times
Maintain a clean and organised poolside environment, including equipment management
Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessments for each student

Skills

Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching, preferably in swimming or related aquatic activities
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate learners of varying ages and abilities
Strong organisational skills to plan effective lesson programmes and track progress
Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations, demonstrating water safety awareness
Enthusiastic, approachable, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment
Relevant certifications such as ASA/STA Level 1 or 2 Swimming Teaching Qualification required.
Enhanced DBS is a must
Safeguarding qualification also required.

Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
