Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Gardener to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of outdoor spaces. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing various landscaping tasks, ensuring the aesthetic appeal and health of gardens, lawns, and other green areas. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, applying horticultural knowledge and practical skills to deliver high-quality results.

Duties

Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising.
Operate a range of power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently for tasks such as edging, trimming, and planting.
Use mechanical equipment such as excavators for larger landscaping projects or ground preparation.
Carry out construction-related activities including laying pathways, installing features, or building garden structures.
Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order.
Assist with site preparation, including soil excavation, levelling, and clearing debris.

Requirements

Proven experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is highly desirable.
Mechanical knowledge related to operating machinery such as power tools.
Familiarity with hand tools used in gardening and construction tasks.
Knowledge of horticulture principles, plant care, and garden design is advantageous.
Ability to undertake physical labour including lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in executing landscape projects.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in horticulture, landscaping, or construction are preferred but not essential.
A valid driver’s licence is essential.
