We’re excited to be recruiting a Digital Marketing Officer on a 12-month fixed term basis to help drive forward the Society’s digital presence and support our growing Marketing & Communications team.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll take the lead on the day‑to‑day management, optimisation and development of the Society’s digital channels. Your work will include:
- Managing and maintaining our WordPress website, ensuring content is accurate, up to date, user-focused, and aligned to brand guidelines
- Working with our web agency to enhance the customer journey and implement ongoing website improvements
- Creating and delivering engaging digital content across social media, website and email campaigns
- Planning and maintaining a social media content calendar across platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram
- Producing a range of content including blogs, web pages, graphics and video, optimised for SEO and audience engagement
- Supporting the planning, execution and optimisation of multi-channel marketing campaigns, including SEO, paid media and email marketing
- Monitoring campaign and website performance using analytics tools and using insight to continuously improve results and user experience
You’ll play a key role in strengthening how we connect with our members and ensuring our digital presence continues to evolve in a fast-moving landscape.
- At least 2 years’ on-the-job experience in a digital marketing role (in-house or agency-side)
- Proven experience managing websites (ideally WordPress) and working with web developers to deliver improvements
- Hands-on experience managing social media platforms and email marketing campaigns
- Experience using analytical and insight tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite (or similar)
- Strong understanding of SEO, SEM and PPC and how to apply these to improve performance
- Experience creating digital content including written, visual and video assets
- Experience using content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar
- Ability to analyse performance data, measure campaign success and translate insights into actionable improvements
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, creative and self-motivated approach
- Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
- Leading the annual website content review and carrying out regular checks to ensure content remains accurate and effective
- Supporting product launches and wider marketing campaigns by creating and delivering digital assets
- Engaging with our online community, responding to comments and messages and building brand advocacy
- Ensuring all digital activity and communications remain compliant with regulatory requirements, brand guidelines and internal policies
- Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver consistent, high-quality campaigns
- Contributing to the wider marketing plan and digital strategy, bringing forward new ideas and opportunities to improve performance
