Position: Packing Operative - Night Shift
Reports to: Production Manager
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 16:15 - 12:15 (Training will be completed during the day shift 07:45 - 16:00 Monday - Thursday 07:45 - 14:45 Friday - for 3 consecutive weeks before moving to the night shift)

Job Description
Le Maitre is looking for Packing Operatives to join our night shift team at our Peterborough manufacturing site. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and accurately packing finished pyrotechnic products into boxes, applying correct labelling, and ensuring all goods are correctly prepared for dispatch. This is a great entry-level opportunity in a well-established manufacturing environment.
Full training will be provided. We are looking for individuals who are careful, organised, and take pride in producing accurate, consistent work.
Working Hours
- Monday–Friday : 16:15 - 12:15
- Paid break: 18:30-18:45
- Unpaid dinner: 21:30 - 22:00
Main Duties
- Pack finished pyrotechnic products into boxes in accordance with product specifications and dispatch requirements
- Apply correct labels to products and packaging, ensuring accuracy at all times
- Verify that products are correctly identified and match dispatch documentation
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised packing area
- Work at a steady and consistent pace to meet packing targets
- Report any labelling errors, damaged products, or discrepancies to the Night Shift Manager
- Follow all site health and safety procedures

- Ability to read and follow written instructions and labels in English
- Good attention to detail and a careful, methodical approach
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Previous experience in a packing, warehouse, or production environment is helpful but not required – full training will be provided
- Comfortable carrying out repetitive tasks to a high standard
- A team player with a positive attitude
