Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Cleaning Operative to maintain a clean and hygienic environment within our clients commercial premises. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of the office spaces, contributing to a professional and welcoming atmosphere for staff and visitors alike. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.

Hours:

Tuesday 9am to 11am

Thursday 9am to 1pm

Duties

Perform daily cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces across office areas
Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with recycling policies
Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas to high standards
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any issues or shortages promptly
Ensure all cleaning activities are completed within designated timeframes to minimise disruption
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning duties

Requirements

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is advantageous but not mandatory
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Reliable with a professional attitude towards hygiene standards
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
