At A&S Landscape, we're looking for a motivated Sales & Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our growing Finance Team. What You'll Be Doing
Working closely with our Senior Bookkeeper, you'll play a key role in keeping our finance operations running smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
Purchase Ledger
- Processing supplier invoices and credit notes accurately within Sage 50
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving any discrepancies
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Supporting payment runs and maintaining strong supplier relationships
Sales Ledger
- Raising customer invoices and credit notes
- Allocating incoming payments
- Maintaining accurate customer account records
Credit Control
- Supporting the management of outstanding customer balances
- Following up on overdue payments professionally and effectively
- Resolving customer account queries
Finance Administration
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- Ensuring all transactions are entered correctly and on time
- Supporting the wider Finance Team with administrative tasks and projects
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to develop their career in finance.
You'll ideally have:
- At least 12 months' experience in a Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Accounts Assistant, or similar high volume finance role
- Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 (essential)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook and Excel
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
A bookkeeping qualification is welcome but not essential—practical experience and the right attitude are what matter most.
