What does the job role involve?
We recognise that our residents are unique and respect that everyone needs their own space and time. We encourage and support everyone to participate in varied activities and events that are organised in all our homes.
Whether it’s just chatting in the living areas or gardens with friends and family, enjoying live entertainment or actively baking, getting creative with arts and crafts, each activity programme is centred around the individuals interests and hobbies.
The role includes:
- Organising stimulating programmes of leisure pursuits and social events for both groups of residents and on an individual basis
- Produce a weekly social events programme
- To ensure that the social care plan for each resident is in place
- To consult with and assess each resident in order to identify their social and recreational requirements according to their likes, dislikes, abilities and needs.
- Any other ad hoc duties to meet the service delivery for our residents.

- Part time contract, 20 hours per week
- Pay: £13.15 per hour

Located in a quiet village on the outskirts of the large market town of Chesterfield, Brimington Care Centre is a purpose-built care home with 42 resident bedrooms. Brimington offers 42 rooms (some of which can be shared if desired), all tastefully decorated and many benefitting from en-suite facilities. Our dedicated and compassionate care team provide residential, dementia and respite care, as well as intermediate care as an alternative to hospital. Within safe and inviting surroundings, our highly skilled team create personalised care plans in conjunction with residents and their loved ones, placing residents’ wellbeing, personal choice, and independence at the front of mind.
