Job Description
Bedfordshire Police are looking to recruit 2 Facilities Support Officers to join a small team in order to assist with the maintenance and operation of Bedfordshire Police properties.
Previous experience of building maintenance and/or building services would be an advantage. You must have the ability to lift heavy goods and climb ladders as well as the ability to deal with plant and machinery. Good Keyboard skills are essential with the ability to use e mail and complete forms accurately. Duties are varied and will include day to day maintenance as required but not limited to car park repairs, lights, locks, doors, toilets, changing room, kitchen, grounds, courier and dispatch.
The successful candidates must be flexible and keen to contribute to the varied work of the Estates and Facilities Maintenance team.
This role is based at Police HQ in Kempston or Luton Police station and requires a valid UK driving licence and access to a Vehicle as you may be required to travel to alternative locations within the force.
The role will include on call duties for out of hours on a rota basis one week in four (additional payments will be paid for on call).
