Project Manager
Fresh Start Project CIC provides supported accommodation for adult males across Stockton-on-Tees. We support individuals with a range of complex needs, including homelessness, substance misuse, mental health challenges, offending histories, and behaviours that may require additional support.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to lead a small team of support staff and ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for supporting vulnerable individuals to achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Management
- Conduct regular supervision sessions and annual appraisals with staff.
- Ensure all team members complete mandatory and role-specific training.
- Lead recruitment and selection processes, ensuring safer recruitment practices are followed at all times.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and professional working environment.
Service Delivery and Quality Assurance
- Ensure staff and clients adhere to all organisational policies, procedures, and house rules.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with the Supported Accommodation (Regulatory Oversight) Act 2023 and other relevant legislation.
- Oversee the completion and regular review of support plans, risk assessments, and client records.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality record keeping across all services.
- Support continuous improvement and the ongoing development of the organisation.
Client Support and Outcomes
- Ensure clients' support needs are identified, assessed, and appropriately addressed through effective signposting and partnership working.
- Promote independence and positive move-on outcomes, including access to suitable accommodation.
- Encourage health, wellbeing, harm reduction, and informed decision-making in day-to-day support practices.
- Support staff to deliver services using a trauma-informed and person-centred approach.
- Work collaboratively with external agencies, including local authorities, housing providers, health services, probation services, and other stakeholders.
Health, Safety and Property Standards
- Ensure all accommodation is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and safety.
- Monitor adherence to infection prevention and control procedures.
- Ensure all health and safety requirements are met across the service.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working within homelessness, supported accommodation, housing support, substance misuse, mental health, or related services.
- Proven experience managing or supervising staff teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Ability to adapt and respond effectively within a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Competent IT skills, including databases, spreadsheets, report writing, and record management systems.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Enhanced DBS check (can be applied for prior to commencement of employment).
Desirable Experience
- Experience supporting individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system, National Probation Service, prison licence conditions, and resettlement pathways.
- Experience of multi-agency working with local authorities, housing providers, healthcare services, and criminal justice agencies.
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice and safeguarding principles.
