Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff with various tasks, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. This position is perfect for individuals with a passion for cooking and a desire to learn more about the culinary arts in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and preparing ingredients as directed by chefs.
Support the cooking team with food preparation tasks, ensuring all dishes are prepared to high standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled and stored correctly.
Assist in catering events by preparing food items and setting up serving areas as required.
Help with serving meals during busy periods, ensuring timely service to guests.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and communication throughout meal services.

Requirements

Previous kitchen experience or culinary training is essential.
Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is highly desirable.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen setting.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field.
