Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable PCV Coach Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating passenger vehicles, including coaches, to transport clients efficiently and comfortably. This role requires excellent driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and strong communication abilities. The PCV Coach Driver will play a vital part in ensuring a high standard of service and safety for all passengers.

Responsibilities

Safely operate passenger vehicles such as coaches, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness
Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing excellent customer service throughout the journey
Plan routes effectively to meet schedules and optimise travel efficiency
Perform basic mechanical checks and report any issues promptly to the maintenance team
Load and unload luggage as required
Communicate clearly with clients to coordinate schedules and address any concerns during transit

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving
Knowledge of mechanical systems related to commercial vehicles and basic troubleshooting skills
Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, colleagues, and management effectively
Valid driver’s licence with appropriate passenger vehicle (D) endorsements
