THE ROLE
A vacancy has arisen for a Warehouse Operative, based at the NSG Automotive Limited site in Fulbourn.
The successful candidate will join a team helping handle and ship automotive glass across different sites throughout the UK.
Working hours are 42 hours per week, Monday – Friday between the hours of 8pm and 5am.
Key responsibilities will be:

Ensuring all glass is delivered in a suitable condition and in a timely manner to the intended destination.

Multi drop pattern of up to 15 drops per driving shift.

Picking Customer orders and loading relevant vehicles in accordance with a delivery schedule.

Quality Control - minor rectification work, where there are small defects you may be required to polish the glass.

Undertake and maintain good housekeeping, ensuring that all areas are kept clean, clear, and free from hazard or obstruction.

Perform stock takes as and when required.

Always maintain a professional appearance in both presence and driving style.

Ability to potentially work flexibly due to holidays/sickness.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You and your skills
-
Full driving license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience.

Experience of driving a 3.5t vehicle (Mercedes Sprinter/Ford Transit)

Good knowledge of the automotive industry and products

FLT licence is advantageous
-
Good attention to detail – will be required to put stock away and pick up stock from alpha numeric code.

A good geographical understanding of customer service areas.

Good understanding of the SOPs to be followed and adhered to

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

The ideal person is hands-on, shows initiative, and takes pride in producing high-quality work
