We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you will identify potential quality issues early and help prevent them from reaching customers by testing production samples, following inspection checklists, documenting non-conformities, and supporting corrective actions through resolution. The successful candidate will have experience in product compliance and a background in engineering or manufacturing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Test production samples using defined inspection checklists
- Record test results clearly and accurately
- Identify failures and non‑conformities and raise them promptly
- Drive corrective actions and follow up until problems are fully resolved
- Be curious and proactive when something does not look right
- Define, improve, and help maintain quality tests, standards, and procedures
- Propose and implement new test methods to improve product robustness
- Design and run real‑life test scenarios, including attempts to defeat or bypass EAS security tags, reflecting how theft happens in stores
- Think creatively about how products might be attacked, misused, or broken in real conditions
- Work closely with partner factories to investigate issues and apply corrective actions
- Work closely with the Research and Development team during product development, changes, and testing
- Support testing during development builds, pilot runs, and mass production
Qualifications Include:
- Experience in product compliance with an engineering/manufacturing background
- Experience with electronics, plastic injection moulding, manufacturing, or quality testing would be an advantage.
- Educational qualifications that demonstrate proficiency in English Language and Maths
- Experience with product life cycle management systems
- E-literate and competent in developing, administering and using PC and associated networks and systems to acquire, manipulate and disseminate information (utilizing Word, Excel, email, simple reporting)
- Experience with managing quality products manufactured in Asia (desirable)
- Experience of working within a Global Supply chain (preferable)
- Exposure to retail security products, EAS systems, or physical product testing would be an advantage
- Authorization to work indefinitely in the UK without restrictions or sponsorship.
