The Role
MCL Telecommunications Group are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our growing team and develop a long-term career within the telecoms industry.
This role would be ideal for someone who has recently completed their A-Levels or college studies and is interested in technology, networking, and customer service.
You will work closely alongside our Head of Telecoms, learning all aspects of business telecommunications while supporting day-to-day customer and administrative activities.
This is a hands-on role that offers a unique opportunity to learn directly from an experienced engineer whilst gaining practical workplace experience.
No previous telecoms experience is required as full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Answering incoming customer calls.
- Assisting with customer support enquiries.
- Updating spreadsheets and customer records.
- General office administration.
- Gathering customer and project information.
- Assisting with telecoms system setup and provisioning.
- Supporting cloud telephony deployments.
- Learning networking and IP fundamentals.
- Attending customer installations.
- Shadowing engineers on site visits.
- Supporting customers remotely and onsite.
What We're Looking For
- Recently completed A-Levels, BTEC, T-Level or equivalent.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Confident telephone manner.
- Strong IT literacy.
- Friendly, professional, and good at integrating into a team environment with a willingness to learn.
- Interest in technology, networking or telecoms.
Desirable
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Basic knowledge of computers, networking or IT.
- Previous customer service experience.
