About DK Financial Services
DK Financial Services is a specialist mortgage and protection brokerage. We don’t do generic. We work with clients whose income doesn’t fit a tick-box – aircrew, NHS consultants and clinicians, contractors, company directors, the self-employed, and other professionals whose pay structures, allowances or trading patterns confuse high-street lenders.
Our reputation has been built on solving the cases other brokers turn away. That means our advisers see more interesting work, write bigger cases, and build genuinely long-term client relationships – not transactions.
The Opportunity
We’re expanding the team and looking for an experienced Mortgage & Protection Adviser who is confident with complex income cases – or excited to learn how to handle them properly. You’ll work warm, qualified leads from clients who specifically came to us because their case isn’t straightforward.
If you’ve ever felt limited at a high-street firm because half your clients get declined for not fitting the standard affordability model, this is the role where that experience finally pays off.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Advising professional clients on mortgages and the full suite of protection products (life cover, critical illness, income protection, family income benefit, building & contents)
- Handling complex income cases including:
- Aircrew – pilots, cabin crew, allowances, per diems, currency exposure
- NHS clinicians – consultants, GPs, locums, banked hours, additional NHS income
- Self-employed and limited company directors – retained profit, dividends, day-rate contractors
- Foreign income, bonus-heavy earners, and other non-standard structures
- Fact-finding over the phone, Zoom and email – we operate predominantly as a telephone-based business
- Sourcing, research, due diligence, advice and recommendation
- Submitting AIPs and full mortgage applications, then managing them through to offer
- Speaking directly with lender BDMs and underwriters to position cases properly
- Proactively reviewing protection – our clients are typically high earners with real dependants and real exposure, so this matters
- Working from all provided leads – new enquiries, warm leads, client reviews, and re-engagement of prior enquiries
- Managing your pipeline through our CRM and working closely with admin and client services to keep cases moving
This is a sales role. Professional, compliant and advice-led – but very much sales.
What We’re Looking For
- CeMAP (or equivalent – CF1 & CF6) qualified
- Minimum 2 years’ mortgage advising experience – ideally with exposure to self-employed, contractor or non-standard income cases
- Strong communicator who can explain complex products to clients in plain English
- Genuinely interested in lender criteria – you read the policy notes, not just the affordability calculator
- A natural relationship builder who is comfortable picking up the phone
- Tech-comfortable and confident working digitally (CRM, sourcing, Zoom)
- High personal standards and the discipline to manage your own pipeline
Our Core Values
Everything we do is driven by four values. If these feel like you, you’ll thrive here:
- Proactive – You take initiative and keep things moving.
- Positive – You bring energy and solutions, not excuses.
- Professional – You hold yourself to a high standard, especially with discerning, professional clients.
- Personal – You care about clients and build genuine, long-term relationships.
What You Get
- Competitive base salary, depending on experience
- Commission structure across both mortgage and protection – OTE £70k–£100k+ for strong performers
- A steady flow of warm, qualified leads
- Specialist niche – better case sizes, fewer declines, more interesting work
- All equipment provided
- Company pension
- Admin and client services support so you can focus on advising, not chasing paperwork
- Ongoing training and personal development – including specialist lender and complex-income training
- Clear progression pathway as the team grows
- Quarterly team days and in-person team events through the year
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 9am–5:30pm
- Free weekends – no weekend or evening work unless you choose to take calls
- Hybrid flexibility once established
