Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Worker Type: Offsite Worker

Salary: Starting Salary is £28,598 (Level one) rising to £31,022 (Level four) per annum (pro rata for part-time) (Pay award pending)

Location: Eastcroft Depot, London Road Nottingham, NG2 3AH

About the Role

We’re looking for skilled and motivated HGV/LGV Drivers to join our frontline Waste & Cleansing team. In this role, you’ll be more than just a driver — you’ll be a leader, ensuring essential services run smoothly and helping keep Nottingham clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone.

All roles may require flexibility across Waste, Recycling, Street Cleansing, and Winter Service support.

About You

Drive and take responsibility for our Waste & Cleansing vehicles (up to HGV)
Lead and support a crew of up to 4 operatives, including mentoring new drivers
Deliver a wide range of frontline services
Always ensure safety — for yourself, your crew, and the public
Carry out daily vehicle checks, basic maintenance, and ensure vehicles remain roadworthy
Use in‑cab systems to support efficient and responsive service delivery
Work flexibly across the city in all weathers as part of a dedicated public service team

✅ Guaranteed Interview if you meet these 3 requirements:

Hold a Category C (HGV Class II) driving licence
Have a valid Driver CPC card
Experience/knowledge in safely operating vehicles such as refuse collection vehicles, gritters, and mainline sweepers
